What is 1CLIMB?

1Climb began with a shared desire to take kids climbing and to take climbing to kids.   By partnering with the Boys and Girls Clubs across America, we are changing the lives of kids via building climbing walls in their club facilities and taking their club members to local climbing gyms.

“1Climb has the potential to change the trajectory of a kid’s life. For that simple reason, we want to introduce climbing to as many kids as possible.”

– Kevin Jorgeson

1Climb + Partners

EL CAP

The Denver wall, donated by El Cap, brings climbing to 10,000 kids in the Denver area. The donation supports the clubs goals of helping kids achieve better academic success, healthy lifestyles and civic engagement through climbing.  In addition to the Denver wall, El Cap and 1Climb have plans to open walls in Portland and San Francisco in 2020. The two brands will continue to partner on walls around the country into the future.

“This partnership allows us all to share our love of climbing with the Boys and Girls Club and ensure aspiring climbers walk away feeling a bit more proud and inspired.” – Robert Cohen (CEO El Cap)

adidas Outdoors

In order to help introduce 100,000 kids to the sport of climbing, we are proud to announce a new partnership with adidas Outdoor. Ultimately, with adidas Outdoor’s support, 1Climb will be able to install 10 new permanent climbing walls in Boys and Girls Clubs across the US. The 10 new walls will be built in areas of New York City, Los Angeles, and Chicago.

What makes climbing special is so much more than a climbing wall. It’s the people behind the sport. The community. That’s why our partners are such an important part of our program.” – Tim Baum (1Climb director)
