In order to help introduce 100,000 kids to the sport of climbing, adidas Outdoor is proud to announce a new partnership with 1Climb.
1Climb began with the shared desire to take kids climbing and to take climbing to kids. By partnering with the Boys and Girls Clubs across America, the goal is to change the lives of kids via building climbing walls in their club facilities and taking their club members to local climbing gyms. Ultimately, with adidas Outdoor’s support, 1Climb will be able to install 10 new permanent climbing walls in Boys and Girls Clubs across the US.
The 10 new walls will be built in areas of New York City, Los Angeles, and Chicago. As Kevin Jorgeson states,
“1Climb has the potential to change the trajectory of a kid’s life. For that simple reason, we want to introduce as many kids to climbing as possible.”
With the support of adidas Outdoor, the goal moving forward is to install four climbing walls by the end of 2019. The remaining six walls will be planned to open by the end of 2020. To stay updated with the progress follow @1climb_official.
